South Carolina Standard Residential Lease Agreement Template

Updated August 08, 2023

A South Carolina standard residential lease agreement is between a landlord and tenant for the use of a property for the payment of rent on a monthly basis. Most landlords have it structured with rent being due on the 1st of the month with the tenant responsible for most utilities and services connected to the premises (i.e. electricity, internet, etc.). Before signing a lease, the landlord will most likely verify the tenant’s income, credit, and background through a rental application. This will also come with a small fee to the tenant to pay for the credit check. After approval, a lease is signed between the parties.
