A Missouri standard residential lease agreement is a legally binding document between a landlord and tenant for the renting of residential space in return for monthly rent. This agreement is for a fixed-term and usually lasts for a 1-year period. Before renting, a landlord will want to qualify the tenant and accept their personal information and consent for a credit check via a rental application. In most cases, the landlord will charge a fee for running the verification and, once approved, a lease is negotiated and signed between the parties.
