A South Dakota bill of sale form details a transaction between a buyer and seller for the purchase of personal property. The document should include the parties’ information, item description, purchase price, and any warranties given (or sold “as-is”).
If the sale involves a vehicle, its Certificate of Title should be included and signed over to the new owner.

Vehicle Registration Forms
- Motor Vehicle/Boat Title & Registration Application;
- Bill of Sale;
- Odometer Disclosure Statement (Form DMV-611);
- Certificate of Title (for a replacement, submit a Duplicate Title Application Form 1002 and $10.00 to a local county treasurer’s office).
- Valid driver’s license;
- South Dakota Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney is required if the vehicle owner appoints someone else to register the vehicle on their behalf;

- Proof of Insurance with Minimum Requirements:
- Bodily injury liability (unspecified amount);

- Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage (unspecified amount)
