A Nevada boat bill of sale is legal evidence that the sale of a watercraft took place between two (2) parties in the State of Nevada. It is required to register the boat with the state. It includes information about the buyer, seller, and watercraft that is necessary for registration.
Signing Requirements: The buyer and seller both must sign the document. It must also be notarized.

Registering a Boat
Boat registrations in Nevada are valid for one year. They expire on December 31st annually, despite the original registration date. Registration renewal is available online with the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW).
Where to Register
New registrations must be processed in person at an NDOW office. Appointments are available on Qmatic.
Required Documents
- Bill of Sale;
- Certificate of title or manufacturer’s statement of origin;
- Proof that sales tax has been paid;
- Registration fees; and
- Social security number.
