New Hampshire Gun Bill of Sale Form

Privately Selling a Firearm

Any person or business that attempts or completes a sale of a firearm without an appropriate license be guilty of a class B felony.[1]

Prohibited from Buying

No person shall sell, deliver, or otherwise transfer a pistol, revolver, or any other firearm, to a person who has been convicted, in any jurisdiction, of a felony. Whoever violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a class B felony.[2]

Registering a Firearm

New Hampshire does not have any statutes requiring the state registration of privately owned firearms.

Concealed Carry

Concealed carry is legal without a license, but the state does offer a Resident Pistol/Revolver License which people primarily use for reciprocity with other states.

How to Apply

A person has to be at least twenty-one (21) years old to apply for a Resident Pistol/Revolver License.

Step 1 – Complete the Application for a Resident Pistol/Revolver License.

Step 2 – Mail the application to the Department of Safety, Division of State Police, Permits and Licensing Unit, 33 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH, 03301.

Reciprocity

The following states do not have reciprocity agreements with New Hampshire:[3] California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin.
